With the freezing temperatures we’ve experienced lately, it sometimes feels like travel by sleigh is the only viable transport option!
As the Santa Express is likely being used elsewhere, it’s lucky that TfL have got you covered for last minute shopping trips to London, a festive visit to Winter Wonderland or getting home after a show or Christmas party. So why not make the most of your travel card!
What you need to know about the Night tube
The Night Tube now runs on Fridays and Saturdays, on the Victoria, Jubilee and most of the Central, Northern and Picadilly Lines and, even better, fares are off-peak. TfL also operates Night Buses across the whole network, offering even more options. You should bear in mind that there is no public transport on Christmas Day and services may be limited on public holidays.
If you really want to make sure you get the most out of your travel card, you will want to make sure you avoid the looming fare hike: the rail industry (including TfL) have announced a 3.5% fare increase for 2018, the largest rise for five years. However, you can avoid the hike by joining CommuterClub before 1st January, enabling you to lock-in 2017 prices for the whole of 2018.
Wait! There's more...
On top of this, CommuterClub membership will give you the bonus of a free month of annual travel each year, due to the value of annual tickets. Membership also offers many other benefits, including hundreds of 2-for-1 deals across London and over £300 worth of savings from partners including Fitness First and Odeon.
Treat yourself to a Christmas present you’ll benefit from all year long and avoid the distinctly un-jolly fare increase, join CommuterClub without delay!
