EICMA, the world’s largest two-wheeler exhibition, has once again set new records as it marked its 110th anniversary at Rho Fiera Milano. Organisers confirmed today that the six-day event, which concluded yesterday, drew over 600,000 attendees, surpassing last year’s attendance by more than 40,000 visitors and solidifying EICMA’s status as the premier gathering for motorcycle enthusiasts and industry players. This year’s turnout is a notable increase over 2023, a strong showing that reflects the event’s enduring appeal among the public and professionals alike.

The 81st edition of EICMA saw a record-breaking presence of exhibitors, with over 770 companies representing 45 countries and more than 2,100 brands. Among the exhibitors, 26% were first-timers, underscoring the event’s growing international reach and significance in the two-wheeler sector. Industry professionals from 126 nations were also in attendance, with more than 38,000 profiled experts selected through stringent quality criteria first implemented in 2022. This professional turnout highlights EICMA’s role as a key platform for business networking and industry insights.

Media representation at the event was also notable, with nearly 8,000 journalists, content creators, and communications specialists attending from 74 countries – a 13% increase from last year. The strong media presence was attributed to a renewed interest in EICMA’s latest innovations and attractions, as well as the comprehensive range of content provided by the organisers, both within the indoor pavilions and in the expanded outdoor areas.

One of the central attractions of this year’s event was the MotoLive area, which spanned over 330,000 square metres. The outdoor space featured live demonstrations, motorcycle trials, and eight hours of live television coverage, drawing in thousands of spectators. Highlights included races featuring international riders, motorsport legends, and twin-cylinder adventure bikes, which remain popular models in the motorcycle market.

This year’s EICMA also introduced a new Gaming area, which proved particularly popular with younger audiences, and a dedicated Start-up & Security area in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, aimed at fostering innovation and showcasing developments in motorcycle safety. Another crowd-puller was the special exhibition titled “EICMA: 110 Years of Two-Wheel Design,” which featured 36 historical and modern motorcycles and attracted over 20,000 visitors.

EICMA President and CEO Pietro Meda, along with the event’s director, Paolo Magri, expressed their satisfaction with this year’s achievements. In a statement, Meda and Magri noted that the record-breaking attendance and strong industry participation provided a fitting tribute to EICMA’s 110-year legacy. “These numbers are the best way to celebrate such a unique milestone as EICMA’s 110th anniversary,” Meda remarked.

Reflecting on the event’s post-Covid resurgence, Meda and Magri highlighted EICMA’s continued efforts to innovate and expand. “Since the interruption due to Covid, we have consistently invested in and advanced the future of the event, enhancing services for exhibitors, developing new content, and improving the overall visitor experience,” they stated. “The return of all major manufacturers was a source of great pride, as was the sight of the pavilions filled with young people and families. To them, to our passionate community of enthusiasts, and to our partners, we extend our deepest thanks.”

EICMA’s record-breaking year underscores its enduring role as a vital event for the two-wheeler industry, uniting enthusiasts, experts, and brands from around the world.
