Luxury cruise operator Silversea has announced its 2028 World Cruise, a 132-day voyage that will visit 58 destinations across 29 countries, offering passengers a unique and immersive travel experience.
For the first time, a Silversea World Cruise will depart from Miami, with Silver Shadow setting sail on 5 January 2028 and concluding in Nice on 16 May 2028. The itinerary includes 17 overnight stays and visits to more than 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, spanning the Caribbean, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Silversea describes the voyage, titled “An Ode to the Moment”, as a journey designed to slow time, allowing passengers to deeply engage with each destination. A series of exclusive events and optional overland tours will offer tailored cultural experiences throughout the journey.
A Journey Through Nine Themed Chapters

Luxury at Sea
The voyage will take place aboard Silver Shadow, known for its high crew-to-guest ratio and personalised service, including a dedicated butler for each guest. The ship’s smaller size allows access to off-the-beaten-path destinations that are typically unavailable to larger cruise liners.
Silversea’s pre-sale for Venetian Society members opens on 13 March, with general bookings starting on 20 March 2024.
